ANOTHER INVITATION TO PAUSE AND LOOK UP
While we were developing plans for Art Overhead in 2025, DTVAN knew the 2026 FIFA world cup was coming to Vancouver. In order to maximize what we were able to do with the installation, we built a legacy plan for the spheres that involved re-skinning the original forms to celebrate each country coming to Vancouver for a match, as well as the three host countries; Canada, the United States and Mexico. Against the backdrop of a city that came alive during the World cup, Soccercape welcomed people from all over the world and served as a hero piece for Vancouver during the festivities.
