In April 2026, Red Bull Canada brought their Jump & Freeze event to North America for the first time at Banff Sunshine Village. Teams launched down the slopes of Goats Eye mountain in self-crafted vehicles and crashed into a pool of icy water at the bottom. Our job was to help establish the events presence here and make it feel unmistakably Canadian. We designed and fabricated five custom trophies, twelve medals and a bespoke DJ booth for the event.
We wanted the awards to focus on that split second where the participants meet the water. The first, second and third place trophies were filled with blue-dyed water to mimic the freezing pool at the end of the slope and the two additional trophies were made for Fastest Craft and Fan Choice.
We used the iconic red raft from the event poster as a stand in for the participant crafts in each design, and surfaced it in real rubber. In total the trophies feature 16 unique parts, all hand sculpted, painted and assembled to mimic Red Bull’s iconic visual language.
The clear shells for the medals and trophies are digitally sculpted and SLA 3D-printed in Accura ClearVue photopolymer resin. The process gave us the clarity and texture of ice in a water safe material and allowed us to achieve dynamic shapes we wouldn’t have been able to pull from a mould.
The awards were meant to be a lasting experience for the winners as well as the audience, so we wanted to make sure the details felt right. Small tokens in the medals float freely inside, while the event logo is fixed to the chain so it stays visible at all times. In order to sell the illusion, parts were printed in such a way that the assembly seam follows irregularly around the form like a crack in the ice, and the chain itself is fit through 4 individual holes exactly fit to the gauge of metal. We built the awards to move, and the winners took it from there. On the podium, all anyone wanted to do was shake them up and watch the water

The DJ booth breaks down for transport up the mountain, but once assembled it looks like it was built in place, with the feel of a classic wooden ski chalet. It's built from Canadian cedar, and the detail on the front traces the silhouettes of Goat's Eye and Lookout Mountain, where the event took place. During the length of the event and for a few hours after people partied in front of the booth with their blue wings and their hard-won awards.
“The trophies and medals are easily the best awards we've seen for a Red Bull brand building event to date. The custom bar for Sunshine was also unreal.”
